I like it.Has a really gritty quality to it. Like it was mixed in a garage.Dunno about the rest of you, but that sound to me is very pleasing. Only thing I thought really needed work is that the vocals are underwhelmed by everything else.

Damn Deal Done

This guitar sound is terrible. Sounds like they DI'd it into an amp sim. The drums even sound like a VST instrument. Is this a professional product? They aren't even dampening the guitar parts correctly. Pretty poor.

You guys are shitting me right? The production may not be good but thats the point. Metal isn't about being polished and clean, it sounds the best if it is raw and natural. Just see live concerts for proof. If you want further proof, good production + metal gives you glam metal, nu metal and other false metal. Not a shit cover at all. The NWOBHM style rawness gives this thrash classic a unique edge.

It is also interesting to consider, that in 2003 Budgie rethinked their hits that were covered by Metallica. (Breadfan and Crash course in brain surgery) These songs were apparently influenced/inspired by the Metallica covers of 1987,

Good. Thrash metal evolved from 5 dollar instruments in a garage. Good to go back to the roots

Not a great cover to begin with, but the production on this is horrid! Holocaust was good for a regional band, their limited technical ability and small club appeal should have kept them that way, the reason most people have ever even heard of them was Metallica.

well, motorhead also covered them. this kind of thing is pretty normal, when the song is great, why not cover it?
