Here's My Heart - Pat Benatar (Metropolis "gapless" mix) video free download
I'd wanted a version of this song for quite some time. Imagine my disappointment when I bought the soundtrack to Giorgio Moroder's 1984 version of Fritz Lang's masterpiece many years ago on cassette tape. The "Here's My Heart" by Pat Benatar on that soundtrack is an over-produced pile of rubbish with a higher tempo and not nearly as nice to listen to.
Fast forward to 2013 and I bought Giorgio Moroder's version of the film on DVD and decided it was time to mix together that song from the movie and turn it into an MP3.
As many other uploaders of this song have done, they've strung the first instance of the track at the start of the film and then the reprise midway through and then the end credits but with gaps between them.
What I've done here is take all three snippets and mix them together with no gaps, into one seamless track.

WOW!!!! As I watch this, i realise it is 30 years since Giorgio Moroder, released his version of "Metropolis", It is one of my all time fav movies, and this song still ust touches me so, nd brings me almost to tears when I hear it. I lvoe both versions, the film and the record version, but like alot of folks, was puzzled by the different versions, and would of loved the film version on the record. The film version just has so much more haunting emotions to it. I love Pat Benatar, and this would have to be my all time fav song of hers, and is also u there in my top ll time fav songs. You thought exactly the same as me with the soundtrack version and B side version. You actually did the same as me too almost identically with this seamless version. I did mine from VHS at the time. With DVD & Blu Ray and better technology I can hear a version like mine but far clearer with no tape hiss. Nice job thanks :D.10 years ago
