Paul Williams of The Temptations, sadly no longer with us, is good here with this nice sound from 1972 I like it a lot, what do you think? let me know, it's been gathering dust all these years from the vaults. It's produced by Clay McMurray one of Motown's brilliant producers also. JOHN

5 Stars. It's always a good day to find another solo by Paul Williams. Excellent Find! You're my hero!

Paul Williams never got his due. Though all of the Tempts could sing he just never got to show the real depth of his talent.

Paul had a lot of demons going on in his last year's of life illness, fail marriage, taxes, weight gain, child support and drinking. After a hot summer night of swimming with his kids at home he drove alone too shoot himself just blocks away from Motown studio.....

@TheMotownjunkie, Paul sang lead songs on every album. They just weren't released as singles (hence his distress from this). I've compiled about 44 including those when he was lead. I think by count, he did more than the rest.

MotownMagic1959 Yes, Paul who was one of the first Temptations to die when he committed suicide sadly was a superb singer of course as they all were, I miss those times a lot too! Many long time Motown fans will know what I mean. JOHN

MotownMagic1959 I can help you there lima4u, if you are in the UK it's on "A Cellarful Of Motown Volume 4" Motown licenses these to Universal Music, with Paul Nixon the compiler of the tracks from the vaults, he does a great job I think. If you are in the US try UMG (Universal Music Group) OK? :-) JOHN

Paul Williams has got to be my favorite baritone singer EVER! So much soul,he sure had a lot to offer solo wise I wish he was still with us and made more solo songs. I believe I heard that there was only 3 he recorded ("Givin' Up, "Had A Heart", and "Need Your More Now"). I wonder if there is more in the vault??

MotownMagic1959 So you've finally thought it was Paul, that's been a long time since you last commented on it eh? You shouldn't be so cruel on Berry Gordy Jr don't forget it was not long after Motown had moved to California from Detroit, and things must have been very busy at that time, I never thought it was a good idea to go to California though, some artists stayed behind like the Four Tops etc, I don't think they had time to see to all the artists really.
