I grew up listening to this song in my mom's car driving to school. It holds a very special feeling to me and she has a beautiful voice. Love this. Haven't listened to it in years.

Perfect :D As a kiwi, I say she's a great representative for New Zealand :)

This is the song that nobody should sing, as they will always fall short of Judy Collins.

Hayley Westenra: Both sides nowRows and flows of angel hairAnd ice cream castles in the airAnd feather canyons everywhereI've looked at clouds that wayBut now they only block the sunThey rain and snow on everyoneSo many things I would have doneClouds got in my wayI've looked at clouds from both sides nowFrom up and down, and still somehowIt's cloud illusions I recallI really don't know clouds at allMoons and Junes and Ferris wheelsThe dizzy dancing way that you feelAs every fairy tale comes realI've looked at love that wayBut now it's just another showAnd you leave 'em laughing when you goAnd if you care, don't let them knowDon't give yourself awayI've looked at love from both sides nowFrom give and take, and still somehowIt's love's illusions I recallI really don't know loveReally don't know love at allTears and fears and feeling proudTo say "I love you" right out loudDreams and schemes and circus crowdsI've looked at life that wayOh but now old friends they're acting strangeAnd they shake their headsAnd they tell me that I've changedWell something's lost but something's gainedIn living every dayI've looked at life from both sides nowFrom win and lose and still somehowIt's life's illusions I recallI really don't know life at allIt's life's illusions I recallI really don't know lifeI really don't know life at all

Too much focus on being cute. Not enough focus on the music. Fail. Next.

I think it's beautiful how this song gives off such a different feel from the original, which is something beautiful to see in a cover. In Joni's version it was the song of an experienced woman looking back, there was no lie or cover left in it. And yet in this one, it's presented as a sweet song showing a younger, less experienced woman just trying to find her way though, but even behind all the confusion there's a clarity and reflection present, even if it's something that she keeps hidden from everyone else.

What a beautiful voice you have Hayley. A beautiful cover of an old song I used to listen to. You make the song live again in your own style.

I have never heard of this singer, but as a long held fan of Joni Mitchell and this song, I think she does a beautiful job of capturing this song's sentiments and its bell like tones. Im sure Joni would be in favour of new younger musos like Hayley, reworking her timeless material.

Youtube debería obligar a poner el nombre del autor de las canciones. ¿dónde está el nombre de Joni Mitchell? En ningún sitio. Parece como si esta canción la hubiera hecho Hayley Westenra.

Very nice singing, very cute, as usual with Hayley Westenra. However I still find Judy Collins' version of this song more moving, with a rendition somehow more authentic.
