Such a great song. Brilliant lyrics and you can't beat Harry's singing. Song was so good even Barbara Streisand recorded a version of this.

Any one else think Nilsson looks a little bit like Elliott Smith in this picture?

Hmmmmm, I think I Suck.....not only did I have to post twice because I did something or other the first time which posted my message before I was done, but I also noticed I messed up when I was tryin' to say this is NOT a well known song. So to anyone critical enough, even to the psychotically super critical, I sincerely or semi-sincerely appologise with an S not a Zed, because I'm Canadian and speak English, not American.

Maybe one of the nicest songs ever sung, in my opinion, which is as good as Gold ; ) Anyways, if you don't hang on the exact words, the tone and feel of this song can apply, in a personal way, to just about any feelings of pathos or remorse. Apparently that well known so I suppose it wouldn't qualify as a classic, but damn it's so good....let's say it's a rare musical gem, or an oldie but a not often heard goodie. In a World that agrees on almost nothing, could we agree on that?

@LeviBakersfield..I love his self harmonies using over dub techniques on 8/16 track machines. I counted 7 Nilssons just on one track and maybe more! Harry was truly great!!
