Even before they showed his name, you can look at Josh and know that there's only one man who could've been his father. Even the way he TALKS...wow.

Josh, it's so sad that one who was so loved by his father had to lose him so young. I lost contact with my babies to young and I don't remember 5 days a year at all with my own father. Christmas a couple years, a time on the back of his bike and in college years a chance to join his Sertoma club but no other memories.. for how sad it is for you I am happy you feel a memory of a hundred days together a year whether true memories or not.

Album came out in '78 and my eldest was born in '75. Sometimes I felt Harry and I were on the same wavelength. I don't know that there is much more that can be said about fatherhood. Thank you Harry, we miss you.

I was about 4 when my mom and dad took me to see Harry Chapin in concert. I will never forget it. We even named our first pet Chapin. I know just about every song by heart. So when my daughter asked me to tell her a story, I sang flowers are red. She was so delighted. So we listened to it on utube. I remember driving down the road with my dad in the old ford pick up. We heard over the radio that Harry Chapin had died. We wept like little babies. I still weep. We miss you..

If you are reading this Josh Chapin, I saw you on stage with your Dad in the melody tent in Hyannis, Cape Cod a couple of years before your Dad passed away. It was the best show I ever saw and you did what he called "the Josh" dance, You looked so happy with him, and he with you. I miss his music so much.

You're very welcome, you are right he definitely was one in a million and a such a unique human being. No one will ever capture the magic he did when he was on stage, record and in person. I'm tryin to get my band to cover "Somebody Said" I love the message in that song.

Thank you so much! How poignant to see the dancin' boy all grown up and looking just like the spit out of his father's mouth, as they say, wow. I know what Harry DVD's on my must-buy list now, thanks for this great treat!

No problem at all, its from a DVD called Remeber When The Music. Its a rare find but a great one if you do. It has interviews with Jen Chapin, Sandy, and Josh. They give back stories about some of the songs and some great stories about Harry. Definitely recommend it!

You're very welcome! I know I miss him too, he was one of the most original, unique, kind heart musicians to ever live. He will always live on in his lyrics and music!
