By the way, this might have been the BEST lineup of the GKB. The "original" quartet (second album) was great, but adding Gary in, just gave that much more full a sound, and an additional dimension. Yeah, Gregg Douglass was great, Satchmo was great, but both ushered in an evolution of the sound, especially with Satriani on lead. This was still good ol' trenchmouth nightclub rock & roll!

Thomas.... is the tuning issue that which caused the change from the Rickety to the Vox? The Vox was cool, but NOTHING beats the bright tone of the Rick! For a short while, I had a Vox Mark 12 (teardrop body).... solely because Kihn played a 12 Vox! (and I couldn't afford the Rick 360-12) I remember that e-fret, but was too young and dumb to know why it was there....
