I'm not sure that would be better: this doesn't strike me as an aggressive song, at all. I'd say that the emotion it transmits most clearly is a mild sense of despair.

@MIKEPORTNOYING well, you just described three bands I like :P FWIW being "trendy" in niche genres (like Progressive) is completely different than being trendy in mainstream music circles (where the term has meaning.) While hardcore prog fans sit here and say Dream Theater, Opeth, Mastodon (and I'll do you one better- the Mars Volta) are a bunch of pandering sellouts, most of the people they would supposedly be pandering to would just shake their heads and say "Who the hell are they?"

@BlueTravesty No, be glad that the sonorous intonation of this band is reserved for a select few. How sad it would be for Green Carnation to become a trendy, marketable prog band in the vein of Dream Theater, Opeth or Mastodon.
