sorry, didn't see the comments below already commenting on this. some drummers are replaceable maybe like ringo in the beatles, you're right, but i don't think topper was one of these.

What an absolute load of rubbish! Judging by your comments I trust you have never been in a band nor know anything about music? Was Terry Chimes as good as Topper Headon? No. As someone said, he bas the backbone of the band and due to his ability and knowledge of different styles enabled The Clash to explore many diverse avenues. Some drummers are replaceable as are bassists, singers, guitarists etc but it is usually the ones who don't offer as much as the others. Think before you speak.

yes your right m8, topper was also the clash but they were able to replace him when he done drugs and the difference was not really noticed, granted, he is/was one of the best drummers out there but sadly was replaceable as is any drummer in any band.
