Godley & Creme - Wide Boy video free download

(HQ stereo digital remaster) I have posted a higher quality copy of this clip in the "video response" section. This rare clip is for Godley & Creme's 1980 non-album single "Wide Boy". Shot entirely on 16mm film, you have to be amazed at the visual effects created purely though clever cinematography and manual editing. In those days, CGI as we know it did not exist! Pretty good tune, too.

@Newjax007 Why?, it sucks (just cauz its artsy doesn't mean its good (im refering to the music on this point)). Godley & Creme amaze me in that they are one of the most underrated AND overrated bands of all time (both in music & video i should clarify) . Just my opinion and by no means am i trying to bash yours. Excuse My Poor Grammer - Robert

Art & music collide !! The result? Godley & Creme!! Inventive, left of centre gold for the thinking music lover. To this day , I suffer withdrawal symptoms if I don't hear 10cc or Godley & Creme daily!!

I'm amazed by this video. So many concepts seen here which were used in hundreds of videos made in the mid to early 80's. Also, I'm a little pissed at seeing this for the first time 30 years after its release. Why couldn't MTV have shown this back then? Grr. Anyway, thanks very much for posting this.

When they were only a roll G&C could hardly put a foot wrong. However it's a bit selfish of them to be both some of best song writers AND best video directors at the same time. Pure genuis.

Oh. Em. Gee. I never dreamed I'd see a video of this favorite song. Kevin is simply Godley. Lol is the Creme in my coffee. I was a raving lunatic for their music. Thanks for posting this groovy vid (Victim of the '60s, here)

This video has been driving me nuts for decades! I saw it on Top Of The Pops when I was 10 and it blew me away even then. I never was mad on the music, but the film techniques are amazing. I love the "scene-tearing". A very ground-breaking video. Thanks for posting it
