You can order a Delmar tortoise guard from Martin for cheap...They use then on the higher end guitars. Use a hair dryer to pull the old off and this sticks right on. Looks like a pick guard should IMHO. Martin pick guards are hit and miss... I wish I knew how they went about picking them.

@Bltprf502 Hey, yeah i'm glad to have a 16 series back! I'm sure i'll use it when I next upload...Only thing I don't like too much is the pickguard, yucky orange colour....If I remember rightly the standard GT was a nice greeny/yellowy brown colour.

@Bltprf502 I don't have the 16gt anymore, I sold it when I picked up the D28 a year or 2 back, I missed that guitar so much though I ordered a 16rgt which I pick up tomorrow (it's been a long wait). I love the 16 series!.. And thanks for popping back =]
