Claudia...if you think he's a "clown wanker" stop searching his name. And Chuck...what if Shakespeare had decided not to rewrite all those 12th century Italian romance plays? Probably no Shakespeare...Great art begets great art, and if Vedder wants to change a few lines (for the better in my opinion) he is doing what any artist in any medium does. He's doing what Dylan did when he reconceived Pete Seeger and Guthrie....lyrical times are always a' changin' I'm with Billy Pilgrim...this guy is just singing songs that shaped who he became musically...if you don't like him don't search him.

I like Vedder. He's a supreme talent. But if you're going to cover one of the masters greatest songs, which is made especially great by its simplicity, just sing the words Bob wrote. You can't add to perfection.
