This great Summer-sounding dance track was released on the 2001 album IRLISH and also as a single . The single recieved great critical reviews but STILL wasn`t a hit - IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN !!! Apparently it was very popular in dance clubs and you can understand why ! Gilbert still performs this during his live concerts. It`s a real feel-good song and I thought it deserved a similar video - look out for guest appearences from a few famous faces !!
Here`s a couple of reviews :
Graham Clark, Maximum FM - "Uplifting, memorable and melodic. Whilst most artists who have been in the business this long dry of artistic merit, Gilbert proves the opposite. A return to form. Classic."
Lindsay Wesker, MTV Digital Untold - "I bought Nothing Rhymed on a black, MAM Records 7" single back in 1970 and, 31 years later, he's back with something that sounds like Peter Gabriel singing a Stevie Wonder song produced by Masters At Work. This is one clever remix away from being a massive club record and has the potential to be a hit single. If clubs get behind it, radio will follow and, sorry to say this Ray, stay out of the video! The best song on this week's CD by a country mile! If it's released on September 17, it won't do anything but, if a remix is done, it should be re-released.
