Another of Gilbert`s " darker " relationship songs from the great 1982 album LIFE AND RHYMES . You could hardly call this a love song - in fact this arrangement has quite a ` sinister ` feel to it . It`s worth mentioning that this album was produced by Graham Gouldman from the band ` 10cc ` , and the whole album is of this very high standard. This song is about as far removed from ` Ooh Wakka Do Wakka Day ` as you can get and demonstrates perfectly how Gilberts songwriting has evolved over the years .

OMG! I never heard this song from Gilbert. Never thought it was in him to do a song that I think was even ahead of and before Phil Collins signature sound. Primo! This is an great song, musically, and lyrically,,, but,, it's a little dry,, and it's probably Gouldman's vision here,, but it could have been slightly more orchestrated, with the background filled in for warmth, because love songs, both happy one's, or sad,, should always keep us within the range of emotions that speak of love, either lost,, or,, found! Sadly,, with the 1980's came a departure from the "heart felt" writing style, and in it's place came "a distant detached form of writing.12 years ago
