Great guitar work on this track. Just such a delightful recording overall.

I remember buying this album in 2001 a few months before George Harrison died and falling in love with this song. I still have the actual record and this video reminded me of a time before we lost him so early. RIP George.

Right. 'You really got a hold on me' was a Smokey Robinson song, they admired him and even recorded this song on their second album.

For me Paul was the pop wizard, John was the adventurer and George was the silent genius. I think his solo efforts have aged better than John's solo efforts. Paul is a wildcard. He's recorded some incredible and perhaps an equal number of dreadful tunes after his "Band on the Run" peak. "Wings Over America" is still one of the best live albums ever recorded. Studiowise, I enjoy "Flowers in the Dirt" "Back to the Egg" "Flaming Pie" and "Chaos and Creation" in their entirety.

Harrison references Smokey in 'When We Was Fab', too. And you really got a hold on me/Long time ago when we was fab.

Idiots. This is a tribute to Smokey Robinson - both George Harrison and John Lennon were huge fans. Talking about that voice? How do you weave Hash into that?

Pure nonsense that this song is about marijuana. George himself said it is a tribute to Smokey Robinson.

My dads favorite song and hes the most anti marijuana someone can get He doesn't realize all the music he listens to was influenced by psychedelics

@getula4003 All these years I've thought that it was about "pure smokey". Oh well, it's a great song anyway. Now I can feature a different meaning for it. Like a new song for me!
