A nice song. But due to the way of playing let me ask myself if Genesis were behind that one. The song has musicality but not enough to be a Genesis classic.

The pics are pretty random and don't necessarily reflect who's on this track. So, who IS on this track? I'm gonna guess Collins, Banks and Rutherford. Maybe that's all? Who actually knows?

@jimmygt4: Absolutely. This sounds similar to the closing section of Pink Floyd's "Shine on your Crazy Diamond". The lead synth is very similar. But Tony's touch is endlessly more beautiful. It's a matter of opinion, but Genesis - in terms of musiciansip - are on an entire different level. There is a beauty and profoundness in the best of Genesis which other prog rock bands never even went for (either didn't want or were unable to reach). Pink Floyd IMHO were extremely creative, But their tracks just don't "drag me in" anymore. The problem with Pink Floyd is that they never had a great keyboarder, the chord progressions are - with few exceptions way too repetitive and predictable - and Nick Mason on drums? He barely did his job "Moon and Diamond" probably have the same boring drumfill about 200 times. Phil is pure brilliance even at his simplest. It was Gilmour who dit the great stuff regardig musicianship. Sure they had the coolness factor which Genesis lost with Peter...

Man, don't know where all this years have gone, think the Pictures and the Music are now 38 or 37 years old.

I can also see why they left this off Abacab. I don't think it would've worked for Dodo/Lurker. Nice piece though never heard before thanks

I´ve been growing up with genesis the story "the boat" and I often went to the sea. This is the basement of my whole life. There are no words for this what I´m feeling at listening to that sound. Thank you!!!

Ive been a fan of Genesis since i was 10. Im a fan of almost every song from every period. Turn it On Again may be my favorite song but this song. This is probably one of the best tunes i would ever listen to. It feels like you get the chills as the volume of the instruments get louder but its a tune that i can listen to again and again and feel good about for Genesis. Some people may hate the Collins era but i love both eras equally. The Ray Wilson era: no credit.

And Then There Were three was so so with Burning Rope and Deep in the Motherlode being the best tunes along with The Lady Lies. Duke had some very good tunes also. After Duke the music was not the sane just as it changed much when Steve Hackett left.

I was born in 1969. Didn't really know much about the Gabriel era stuff 1969-1975 until after I discovered the early and later Collins led stuff in the 80's.The Peter Gabriel era albums are remarkably awesome and have aged well. I like Trick and Wind n Wuthering with Collins at the head of the 4 piece outfit with the awesome Hackett still on board. My fav. albums are 1-Selling England( 1973 ),The Lamb(1974),Nursery Cryme(1971),Trick of the Tail(1976),W&Wuthering(1977),and Foxtrot(1972).All great

Keeps me thinking of what this song could it be if Steve and Peter were still in the band.
