Gary Moore & Ozzy Osbourne - Led Clones

"The time has come to talk about tomorrow.

You should be a careful one tomorrow.

I heard them on the radio.

I saw them on the video.

I don't think I can take much more.

Led clones, Led clones.

You've stolen from the houses of the holy.

You've rolled into the kingdom of the sain.

I heard you on the radio.

I saw those crummy videos.

I don't think I can take no more.

Led clones, Led clones.

Got to get it on,

from the still of the night.

But you're gettin' it wrong,

you know it ain't right.

Ooh, yeah.

Ooh, yeah.

I saw them on the radio.

I heard them on the videos.

I don't think I can take much more.

Led clones.

Led clones.

Led clones, woh.

Led clones.

Led clones.

(Repeat to end)."

Saw an interview with Ozzy about asking Gary to join him, but Ozzy stated that "Gary wanted a kings ransom" so that was that. Shame.

this song is tongue in cheek even in a interview he said we are all led clones in rock and roll, even him self, page is the greatest rock guitar player of all time, he is making fun of him self as well, he was friends with Lenny wolf and David Coverdale..and even said he would be a hypocrite in believing that because the song sounded..well like zepp..lol So I think people all these years had it wrong...Gary Moore was a genius on guitar and made his best most epic masterpiece with AFTER THE WAR, I still listen to this cd once a week...brilliant piece of hard rock metal, ever

this song is hilarious, they sing about the 80's band led zeppelin clones, there was a few at the time... but led zeppelin was not that original either, they took a bunch of songs from other people and claimed the song was theirs. so led zeppelin was a clone them self..

Hah! They're talking about Whitesnake and Kingdome Come seemingly. Love the Kashmir break xD What a wonderfully punk statement by Gary and Ozz!

I'm not dissing Jason Bonham but the hair metal band he was in in the late '80s (called 'Bonham') was also a Zepp Clone. Listen to the single 'Wait for You'.

The lyrics are wrong... "You should be more careful what you borrow" Not-"You should be a careful one tomorrow" Someone suffers with Lyricosus.

they are denouncing kingdom come, great white, and whitesnake as well as all the other zep wannabees

Still miss Gary Moore. This was his pop at the Led Zep clones, like Kingdom Come, around at the time.

I am sure somebody already replicated to this, but it is actually intentionally created that way. This is to criticize Kingdom Come's "Get It On" and Whitesnake 's "Still Of The Night", who are "ahem" sorta's rip off of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Funny part is that Led Zeppelin were also rippers of other musicians, so what? There are many puns in the lyrics "houses of the holy", "Get it on" "still of the night" the videos, the radio "the time has come". And of course, these Robert Plant's uh oh's.

"...just being a mere replica of Led Zeppelin" Hey.Actually no. Their whole first album was "We love Zep" yet singer boy +guitarist would do interviews + claim to have no idea of Zepp.Singer was also an arrogant dick who said he + his band were without compare. Sorta rubbed people the wrong way. Too, this was before it was normal to sample + steal + utterly rip off others + be praised for it, the way it is now. I'm no fan of Zep. I just have zero tolerance for "rawk star" egos. :)

Honestly I don't really care. 1988 was 3 years before I was born anyway haha. I tend to focus on the music only. These "behind the scenes" stories never really grab my attention. I could see why you guys were so pissed off, but still, let's put yourself in his situation for one moment. He and the rest of the band surely have something else to offer than just being a mere replica of Led Zeppelin. But still, elitist Led fans didn't just let the dudes be, they had to prove how superior their idols are

I like how "Still of The Night" tips to David Covertune and Shitesnake too!
