Nice of JEFF to keep this 50's Standard ALIVE. Wired ugh ,, when you bought or listened to it ya had to be over 10yrs old, to appreciate it at that time. This song was made on a electric guitar BTW. Steel or otherwise it was plugged in.

you know i grew up on 'wired', but that was '76, rite? i only discovered his 'rough and ready' from around '71, if i'm not mistaken and he really did have the style a lot of newer guitarists used (w of course i think Jimi beat him to the punch technically), maybe eric with crossroads, , though i thought jeff was flashier, in a good and tasteful way) pick scrapes, darting runs, whammy bar antics, ( i know jimi did) i just hear where van halen and other player got their ideas from jeff

Jeff Beck is the Man ! He is Rock history ! and he's also very contemporary ! If you don't think so , you haven't been around long enough ! Jeff is constantly re- inventing his core sound and always sounds fresh and funky ! Love the man !!!

overrated? grab a guitar and try to play the things he does. What an arrogant comment. I guess you're in the R&R Hall of Fame for your guitar playing.It's not suppose to be a carbon copy of Santo & Johnny, it's his own version. I usually don't reply to things like this, but as a guitar player I was compelled to. Jeff is a treasure and a one-off master. period.

He's just OK with this; not even close to the original though, in my honest opinion. Jeff Beck is overated you ask me. He hits the notes but without all the feeling, is the problem here.

Love Jeff always have...it was just a coincedence that we have the same Strat configuration....but it is not a coincidence that he has my comment posted on the official Jeff Beck Myspace front page for the last 3 years. I don't know just what to call that other than luck and appreciation...:-)
