Saw G-Force at Manchester Apollo in early 80's I think they were supporting Whitesnake?? Then met them them in the Sandpiper and had drinks with them later. Mark Nauseef on drums was fantastic, went out and bought a Staccato kit straight after. I was a drummer but Gary Moore was a sad loss to music.

I agree re. Willy - he was great on that Captain Beyond lp also. As for Gary Moore - what a talent! We saw one G-Force show (supporting Whitesnake), and it was hard to believe anyone could play guitar like that.

At that time he was up there with the best soloists. He was restricted in Thin Lizzy, that's why he left to focus on heavier rock music. By 1980 lizzy were becoming a pop act.

I was engaged and living with gary in los angeles when this was recorded. It is my favorite lp also tho i was taken off the dedication when we split later in london. It was really a pop/metal crossover for him (believe it or not he was quite a pop fan)..but ultimtely gary found his niche in blues....willy also lacked confidence but is so so talented.
