She was 15 when this was recorded but she'd been singing with Tacoma area C&W bands since she was 13. I'll play 'I Idolize you' and people are astounded when I tell them A) her age and that B) she's a white chick. On the flip side, the singer/ drummer for the DYNAMICS was Jimmy Hanna, a black kid in an all white group.

I'd say this singer was a female James Brown mixed with a little Janice Joplin, really tremendous! I think she was ahead of her time and the Soul Craze of the latter sixties...and perhaps a 'name change' would have swept her over the top. My cousin went to the Castle and said about the 'Wailers'.....now they are a 'real band' ! This hurt my country feelings since I also played in a band, at the time. No comparison he said, and unfortunately he was right!
