This is from Silk Stockings (1957), and the lady with Peter Lorre is Cyd Charrise -an excellent dancer in her own right. She would also appear in the Janet Jackson music video Alright in 1990.

For lindy 3812 -- I beleive the name of this movie is called "Daddy Long Legs" Although I could be wrong. I just enjoy watching someone who is a master in their art. You don't get any kind of this entertainment anymore. Although i was surprised to see Mel Gibson give a good dance in "What Women Want"

This is definitely a hidden gem. Fred kept on dancing (at his home studio) well into his seventies and eighties. His final acting role was in the movie, "Ghost Story" in 1981 at the age of 82. It just goes to show that age is nothing but a number, and if we are blessed with good health, we should never give up doing the things that we enjoy.

I wonder what happened to that smashed top hat. I wonder where it is. A museum? A private collectors case? A dump? A land fill? Maybe it's been destroyed? Or maybe, just maybe, It is someones possession, and they don't even know it. Huh. That hat SHOULD be in a museum, for when he smahsed it, it symbolized the end of his career. It makes you wonder.
