According to your name I assume you're from northern Scandinavia? And in that case at least Swedish got a thousand words from German. I think the same goes for Danish and Norwegian. Quite funny the English word window descend from ancient Swedish. The longhouses the lived in had a hole in the roof for the smoke and the called it Wind eye , and in Swedish Vind öga , from there it became Window. And now used for Glass ones. The Greman word fenster became today's fönster. Cheerios

If my less than knowledgeable German knowledge is correct, then Kinder means children and Garten means garden. Kindergarten did start in Germany as a way to help children develop better and be more prepared for life. This was achieved by nurturing the children through songs, art, and playing.

Well, it does look particularly German :) And it means the same. maybe, it's just luck, but another example: Why is kindergarten called kindergarten? 'kinder' and 'garten' are both german words :)

Well, not technically a German titles. Wanderlust is just that. A lust for wandering and traveling. I think it also means being restless. But it does look particularly German, doesn't it?
