Guitars sound amazingly different in mixes, and vocals are no different! She sounds incredible live, been there and loved it! I just once want to see a video response of a live performance that bests this - then complain! You can't deny their energy!

2 things. There's no echo effects or vocal stacks. That makes a difference. Also, if you're there, it's a lot louder and the vocals sounds different under all that music. Live, they rock. On youtube, no one is the same.

She sounds like a thousand plugins crafted by a highly paid mix engineer on the recording. This is live without computer assistance. I still think she sounds good, but she is not going to sound like she does on the record, or even the post dubbed "live" stuff.

Ya I totally agree, but you watch her older performances from 2008 and she's spot on with her studio recordings. Maybe the audio equipment is bad quality.
