Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel (1805-1847) :
Lied in E flat major (Andante espressivo - Più Allegro - Tempo primo)
This is a rare-known piece from Felix Mendelssohn's sister Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, first published in 1996 without opus-number. It is one of Fanny's last pieces from the 1846-11-24.
The piece reminds at Felix Mendelssohn's "Lieder ohne Worte". A quiet beginning only in the right hand is followed by a storm in the left hand (second theme in the right hand). The third part is the singing first theme - now pompous with accompaniment of the left hand. This appears again at the end as an echo. Now with held pedal.
