I adore Fanny's music, but let's not exaggerate! This piece is certainly as good, even better that many of her brothe'r Songs W.W I think if she had been encouraged and had been able to test herself with publications. A lot of her i èieces were sketched; if she had revised for publication. I think she had at leats the potential to be her brother's equal. The Notturno in G minor on youtube as as good as any of Felix's SWW if not better than most Anyway I share your enthusiasm.

Fanny was more talented than Felix. Given the time, however, we can count ourselves lucky that we at least have 400+ compositions of hers that have survived. But it's very sad to think what could have been.
