OH NICE TIMES WHERE SONGS WERE SO SENTIMENTAL, NO VIOLENCE,NO STRONG DRUM SOUNDS LIKE TODAY´S MUSIC, WE MUST ADMIT THE EVIDENT DECADENCE OF THE NOWADAYS MUSIC

The only comedienne/dramatic actress/singer we have today to match Fanny Brice today is Whoopi Goldberg. Talented "greats" like these two ladies don't come along often enough, and the likelihood that they will in the future seems to become slimmer with the passage of time, considering the lack of genuine and unique "charisma" amongst both female AND male "exhibitionists" who swear, preen, prance, and show off in what is passed off today as both "talent" and "entertainment."

Ditto that I prefer Fanny's performance to Barbra's, especilly whoever said she had pathos. Somehow I feel that Barbra took too many liberties, not only with the melodies in places, but in trying to sing the songs in her style rather than in the style of the woman she was portraying.

Barbra played her brilliantly.. She's such an incredible singer. I think Barbra is a lot prettier than Fanny... but this is very interesting..Now I can see who she has portrayed all these years.. Love it..
