I just had to listen to this after listening the Koyn, Meaghan and India sing this on the voice. I needed to hear what its suppose to sound like again, not that I could forget, but I had to get that ripped off, no comparison version out of me head. Steve Perry's voice is unbelievable. This is what the "yelling" is suppose to sound like. Not the contrived crap they do now days

I must be one of the most selfish women on the planet!! I can't get enough of this man! I know he's older now, and he should be retiring from the business and enjoying his life, but I would LOVE to see him perform just one more time. Or at the very least, get one more CD. But, he deserves to do whatever he wants. He's given the public his voice, his soul and his heart since 1978 or so. I had the opportunity to see him perform with Journey back in the early 1980's, once when Gregg Rolie was still with them, and twice with Jonathan Cain. For that, I am forever grateful. I'll always have a special place in my heart for him.

I still get chills when I hear Steve Perry sing, makes me feel like the girl I was back then. It will never be like that again but it was sure nice to have been young during that time. Getting together with high school friends soon, it will be nice to visit the past. Having lost my son to suicide 13 months ago, he was a fan of 80's music, I listen to this song and not only reconnect with my younger, carefree self, but remember my son and our precious times together.
