@Czekerz Definitely. I wonder that myself because I've definitely gotten fairly divergent results based on recording location.

@Tryptonique I sold my Zoom Q3 and bought the Q3HD recently, as you can see in my new videos. I'm kind of disappointed with it, the sound quality is no where near as good as the non HD. I need to do some more testing with it, i'm not sure if it's the acoustics of the venue causing the crappy sound quality or the device itself.

@Czekerz I only ask cause the audio sounds *so* dang good here.I've got the Q3HD and I'm wondering if I need to try full auto on my next recording adventure or if the Q3 just sounds better. The mic layout looks different on the Q3 and on Zoom's website they say it is the same one they use on the H4N. Hmmm. I'm going to have to look into this a bit more cause I might actually downgrade from the ability to record high def video if I need to just so I can get that sound quality that you have hear.

@Tryptonique I had everything set to auto and didn't do any mastering before uploading. I didn't have the camera very long when this was shot

What settings did you use on your Q3 to get this quality? Did you have something else plugged into the mixing board or what? Or were you right next to a speaker? I'm assuming you used low gain, obviously. Did you use the low-cut filter on your Q3? Did you use any of the reverb, normalization, or mastering options in Handy Share? Or do any other editing outside of the raw video?
