@Chevelle396BB I suppose you are technically correct. The best kind of correct. Still I must ask if you are from Sulphur Springs, and if so I suggest you sit at Max-a-mart from about 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and I guarantee you will hear some some of the less grizzled old men saying fair-to-midland. I am not saying you are incorrect, I am just saying either the saying has evolved or the old men saying it have started losing some of that twang that led to confusion over the correct way to say it.

@janicewatersteen It's actually "Fair to Middling" or "Fair to Middlin'". "Fair to Midland" can't be defined as anything other than an awesome progressive rock band from Sulphur Springs, TX.

@ACDC392333 fair to midland is a saying, prolly only in texas and prolly only poedunk towns like the one they are from. the way you would use it is: An old man is sitting on a porch, another old guy walks up and says, "hey earl, how you doin?" the second old man then says, "Ahh, fair to midland." so there you go, is it all you had hoped for.

@FAIRTIMDLANDFREEK I defiantly agree with you. I am gonna go to the show in Iowa july 18th. Gonna drive 347 miles. I love Fair to midland and I am glad others like them too. Darroh has a way of singing that is mesmerizing. Can't wait to see them.
