I grew up listening to mostly AM radio and the top 40 back in the 70's. You did have a few FM top 40 stations then. I loved the 50's and 60's station we had, KNRY 1240!! Radio was FUN then and the DJ's were fun to listen to. Not at all like now, they kinda suck. Sorry, but no one has the personality of DR.Don Rose from KFRC or the Real Don Steele from KRLA!!

I was born in 1965, so I certainly remember listening to music on the AM radio. I remember hearing pop, soul and rock on the AM radio. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever heard disco on the AM radio. I think that was strictly on the FM radio!
