Epic and haunting slow burner from the genius that is Greg Weeks and Espers. Just a magical mix of musicians and influences, and really deserves the time to listen. So sit back, relax, headphones on if yer've got 'em and enjoy.

Nothing like reading good science fiction and listening to Espers...

They are simply the best the USofA had to offer during these recent years. This is the band Thoreau and Emily Dickinson would have joined. Knowing there was (still is?) an Espers gives me some tiny margin of hope for this country.

Try Lost Harbours. I say that as I am in the group and Espers were an influence.

Espers family of albums IS QUITE A LOT: All 4 Espers albums, Espers, the Weed Tree, II, III. Then theres the truly amazing discography of Meg Baird: Dear Companion,Leaves from Off the Tree,Seasons on Earth. Then of course there is Greg Weeks:Fire in the Arms of the Sun,Awake Like Sleep,Blood is Trouble, The Hive. Then we have Helena Espvall with Nimis and Arx. ALL of these albums are very good (my favorite is Dear Companion) Its a WHOLE NIGHT worth of music, I like to put them all on in order!

Okay my house is stacked to the ceiling with records, any era, any genre, any style. CDS, Records, just terabytes of music stuffed inside my hard drive. What I'm trying to say is theres not much I don't like. There are many hundreds of musicians in my mind all contending for first and favorite. Saying this, I can easily say, no hesitation? My favorite band is the Espers. They're barely known; which is something I consider terrible. We need to be paying them Beatles money to produce more.

Marissa Nadler is a must have. Greg Weeks produced her third album. Check that out for sure.
