I agree with you it is all about feel and although I tried to feel alot in the `80's and got arrested a few times I never caught anything. I just felt compelled to share that with you. Peace.

I definitely know who the amazing Jason is. The strength he shows every day is even more impressive than his fantastic guitar playing. I'm really looking forward to the film; you know about it right? Do you know when it's coming out?

Thanks; I checked him out and he is quite good. I particularly enjoyed his vibrato and bends. Unfortunately much of his playing in the piece as performed at a G-3 concert (composed by Vai, inspired by Paganini), is very hard to make out in places, due to heavy distortion and a low quality video.

I've heard Uli, perhaps not his best stuff, but I haven't yet heard anything to give me an idea what the fuss is about; definitely nothing to suggest Yngwie level chops. Can you give me an example of a song containing some of his best playing?

How that justifies your rude behavior at a show is beyond me. I think what you yelled is true. It's also true that John Belushi was fat; but SNL audiences had better taste than to yell out "Hey Belushi, you're a fatty!" when he appeared. Django was amazing, but of the others, only Jeff Beck stands out as better than Clapton (not sure about Kossoff). Gilmore, Page, and Blackmore are all at least as overrated as Eric.

Well to be fair, Hendrix knocked every rocker off their pedestal. Everyone seemed old fashioned. Does that mean they are all shit? I don't think so; good rock is worthwhile even if it isn't genius. Eric is still good; when he plays the blues and not his boring soft rock (adult contemporary, or whatever). Still it's not cool at all to yell nasty shit at his concert, regardless who you went to see. It's hurtful to Eric, and rude to his fans.

He thinks he's cute for heckling Clapton for no reason; calling it "funny", in his other comment, and then wishing death on him for not being his favorite blues player. The guy's got the concepts of "asshole" and "badass" mixed up in his mind, so he brags about being the former while thinking he's the latter.

I agree that he's overrated, but why would you go to someone's concert just to yell a negative, hurtful remark? I don't care how overrated he is, that behavior should have gotten you kicked out; you were being a complete ass; lucky for you his actual fans that paid not to insult him, but to enjoy the show, didn't kick your ass.

I do not remember anyone during the 80's talking about shredding. It's a word that came up lately.

Wow, what a horrible thing to say... We all loved Stevie and miss him, but that latter half of your comment is absolutely morbid.
