just because they don't sound as dramatic on recitation like they used to on a dead sinking story, doesn't mean they're getting worse. i personally love what they do on these splits with Jesu and Thursday. i think there's a reason why they arent on a full-length. they sound different. but in my opinion these songs are the most beautiful songs envy ever put out. this bands exists for two decades now, let them evolve, let them be. with what they already did, they cant disappoint me in the future.11 years ago

I think that Envy just put a huge wall of guitars and some screams always at the same stop (at the beginning of each bar if you pay attention) in all of their songs since Insomniac Doze. IMO you need dynamic to make people feel somethig, you can't spend an entire song with the same sad chords and the same rythmic patterns. Envy on a dead sinking story really had energy and humanity, you can really feel the emotions because the music is alive.11 years ago

@Djroshi01 Why would you get shit for this? BTBAM is a great band. I think that they don't sound very a like though. Tommy's voice is far more guttural and closer to death metal vocals, Envy's vocals are legit hardcore screams. I guess I could see some similarities between the two with this EP and the Envy/Jesu split, but otherwise I'm not hearing it.12 years ago
