From "Best Of British" in 1980. Very rare. Probably the only time Elton has ever performed this song.

Poem by: John Donne

I love his voice. Elton's voice has changed over the years but this is my favourite voice of his. So magical. I really love Elton.

Is it just me, or does anyone else hear "Breaking Down Barriers" from "The Fox" in the melody? Seems like this was around the same time he would have written that song, too...

Brilliant. Here's the "lyrics" (via poet John Donne): No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
