@beroth77 prob true, but everyone credits zeppelin for inspiration. not only were they first "metal" band, but LIVE, I think they were also first "space rock" band. They still send me on a head-trip.

Anyone get the reference of the band's name? From HG Well's novel The Time Machine -- in the distant post-apocalyptic future, the human race splits into two sub-races: the dreamy, naive, live-in-the-moment hippy Eloi living on the surface, and the dark predatory troglodyte capitalist-pig Morlocks, living in their machine-filled caverns underground & coming up after dark to cannibalize the helpless surface-dwellers -- check the 60's movie with Roddy McDowell & Yvette Mimieux
