(Songtext included!) Another fine live ELOY video from an event called "Die Deutschrock Nacht" which means "The German Rock Night". Enjoy it!

Songtext (The Sun Song):

What kind of sound, I think I can hear

a lily-white lily calling

she seems to yearn to darken skin and hair

I really know, without her force

you would be falling

you wouldn't need to breathe

my sinner air

Now listen

This day'll be grey, so take my advice

and wait for the dawning

wait for the rise of light tomorrow morning

look for the highest place in space

to rest and stay

you've got to chase the early rising sun

next day

Das kommt dabei raus, wenn man studierte Musiker an die Instrumente laesst. Unvergleichlich. Einfach nicht zu schlagen.Gleichzusetzen hoechstens mit Dream Theater vom Einfallsreichtum . But it took them 35 Years.

Clearly and without any doubt a playback performance. In "those days" (the 70's and 80's) it was technically very difficult to perform live in a TV studio. Especially in Germany. So the majority of performances was always playback. Only in the rarest occassions bands were allowed to play live in a TV studio (e.g. it was an all-over live event of different bands or when a top-dollar band insisted on playing live).
