wow I'd disagree with you..I have first hand experience with most of the popular psychiatric drugs : SSRI's SNRI's Atypical antipsychotics, the older tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, beta blockers etc. as well as all of the illicit drugs, I'm a recovering heroin addict who has suffered from depression for years, kind of like Elliott, or maybe you're right I don't know anything...10 years ago

"quit psychiatric meds"...seems like nowadays people assume psych meds only do harm...I'm not convinced that discontinuation is a good thing, especially when you consider "discontinuation syndrome"...I mean he did end up killing himself11 years ago

I think at this point he was sober in terms of heroin (and maybe alcohol)? A little bit of digging on Google shows that he went to Neurotransmitter Restoration Center to alleviate his addiction to drugs. At this point in his life (Jan 31, 2003), he was on the road to recovery. In August, he quit alcohol, caffeine, red meat, refined sugar, and psychiatric medication (according to wikipedia). So he was doing pretty well healthwise.11 years ago

@Galefox I have a feeling there are people out there with mind blowing talent, it's just record companies aren't willing to gamble on there marketability. So instead they are confined to playing clubs for the rest of there life to a lucky few.12 years ago
