Ed Bruce has been around a long time. He wrote the song that was a big hit for Waylon and Willie "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" He had a number one hit in the 80's "You're the Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had" and a few other top 10 hits.

He sounds wore out, Ron! Nice but somewhat sad song. I hadn't heard of him. My cowboy singer collection is limited to Ian Tyson, Don Edwards and Ramblin' Jack. I have several cool Tom Russell cowboy albums, He's no cowboy, but then neither is Jack. I also have Marty Robbins' Greatest Hits.
