I love to listen to Ed Ames thanks to my father who couldn't believe that I would listen to any other kind of music!! He was very picky with who he listened to and would have been 70 tomorrow.

Yes, he is still.alive and I can't believe a voice as great at he has gets even better with age. It is beyond belief that the greates voice I have ever heard gets even better. God has really gifted him. I sing in his range but I couldn't begin to rival him. What a God given talent.

Wow! This gentleman not only has the greatest voices I have heard, but, what great voice control he has. He even sounds a little better than he did in the 60's and 70's. A true singing legend and he is still alive to share his wonderful talent. I used to perform in clubs and honky tonks. I sing in his vocal range and really wish I sang as well as Ed Ames.

In the original recording, he holds the last note for 16 bars. That's a professional.

Happy Valentines Day Listen and see the lyrics to one of the greatest love songs ever sung. It is sung by Ed Ames. My Cup Runneth Over (with love). Make sure your wife or girlfriend is there, so you can sing the song along with Ed Ames, to them. Also share these verses: Psalm 23:1, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:5b...thou anointest my head with oil (with the Holy Spirit); my cup runneth over. Romans 5:5... because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost (by the Holy Spirit). Hebrews 13: 20, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 13:21, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Jesus said in John 17:26, And I have declared unto them thy name (God, his Father's name), and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I (Jesus) in them. (By God's Spirit from heaven). For God's love is far greater than any human being could ever love us. Happy Valentines Day, Ron Lewis Go to www.amazon.com to find my book, SPIRITUAL MEMOS, which is full of many short, inspiring chapters of God's incredible love to us, that He amazingly showed to us, by sending His Son, Jesus, to die to pay the penalty for our sins, on the cross. Wow! There is no greater love then that. Thanks you God, and my Father, for your love, to me, through Your Son, Jesus Christ; and thank you Jesus, for dying for me, so God will remember my sins, no more.

Amazing. His voice improved with age. So rich and mellow and his vibrato doesn't wobble.

I received a 45 of this recording maybe for Xmas 1967 (or so) from my family-my adopted family- I thought it was a beautiful song--so full of meaning about admitting that love is possible... My father just passed away at age 90... Many thanks for all the love they gave to me and to my daughter...

Outstanding!! Ed Ames sounds just as goof or better than in 1967. I once tried to learn this song so that I could sing it properly. I love the words to the song and know that his voice is one of the greatest. Thank you Ed Ames!!
