There is a well known song Fiddler's Green, written in 1966, very similar indeed, but this is far far earlier, even the sentiment is similar even though Fiddlers Dream is based on a legendary place for dead fishermen.

I am even at 50 one of his biggest fans i met him in 1966 when all of about 5 and a bit he came to our house and had a beer and a lucky strike ciggy and signed all of our 78's!! Our families were mates from way back apparently! lol love it thanks for sharing!!
