Lazyness is what most frequently occur to me when hearing covers. They simply don't get it, they take whatever sound it's spitted out of their mouths or instruments and seems to be fine for them. "Oh, that's how we do" attitude. I really don't get it. It's a shame. Well, I guess few people has the talent of one Cassandra Wilson, a rare artist that can take another one's music and make it her own.

I've heard a few covers of this song, and this is by far the best one yet, it glinges a lot on the original but with a little more fierce beat and guitars, unlike other version that take too many "melodic and/or rythmic liberties" if you like. I'm probably being a smiths puritan, but this is one of the greatest song in history and is probably a perfect tune, so why ruin it by changing it?
