Donna Summer - Walk Away (Casablanca Records 1979) video free download
"Walk Away" is a song by Donna Summer from her highly successful Bad Girls album. The album had been released on Casablanca Records, who had given Summer some of her biggest hits during the disco era. However after a dispute Summer left the label and filed a lawsuit against them in 1980 which was later settled. She signed to Geffen Records and begun working on a new non-disco album. In an effort to compete, Casablanca released a collector's edition compilation album entitled "Walk Away" and also released the single of the same title. It was only a moderate hit. When first released, Casablanca promoted it as a Double-A side single, with a re-release of her 1976 hit "Could It Be Magic" on the flip side. Billboard magazine even reviewed it as such, however the much more contemporary sounding "Walk Away" was much more receptive to radio and the record buying public.

The sound quality on this video is crystal. This is my favorite song by Donna Summer. Thank you for posting. I had the pleasure of attending a live show of hers in the mid 2000's. Her vocal range, quality and sound was unchanged - she sounded just the same. When her spirit left this planet, it took a minute to sink in. I remember stealing my Mom's "Anthology" album when I was in high school in the 90's - she's still swears ""she's seen it here somewhere...." Nope - it's mine now and I don't regret snagging her Donna Summer album - I love it. 10 years ago

Oh my God.....I remember hearing this ballad somewhere in the summer of 1979 (yes) when BAD GIRLS came out! It was such a haunting a song from that incredible album! Here is another example of a great song Donna wrote....she has so many credits as a gifted Songwriter! She absolutely deserves her ROCK N' ROLL FAME! We miss you!
