The beautiful ballad from Don's 1977 album Prime Time. Very hard to find this rare gem for download anywhere so I transferred it from the original 45 RPM single. :-)

Oh by the way, the other guy in the Video is Garth Brooks who famously performed at Central Park, New York some years back, started singing 'American Pie' then brought Don McLean onstage to sing the song with him.

What memories . . . .:-)

His voice is not heard enough...know I can spend a whole evening listening to him, and go to bed so relaxed and happy. Can't ask for much more than that, says I.

First saw Don McLean when he toured England in 1978. He was performing at the Odeon in Coventry, just him and his guitar, the audience including me held spellbound. Still has that effect after all these years.

we are in his time! this is the time for his music to be heard more than ever. We are the lucky ones that hear and see the treasures. Thank you Don fans for all the songs. Share his music too all your friends , in time his music will explode above rest. including lady gaga...i though it was a dude?? ..and the beaver kid. Anyway lets just hope all the crap fades and don and similar artists are all that is heard.

I was not lucky enough to be born during McLean's time, but I do listen to many of his songs. This, however, is a treasure I never heard before.

when I was a teenager, my best friend had boyfriends, and they always had "their song." and I would say How can you do that? What about when you break up and you have to hear it? Years later I got married. And in an obscure album somewhere (which belonged to my husband, which I'd never hear again) we found "our song." It's not your fault for posting it - it's my fault for searching. (He left in 95) I'm off to look for Maybe The Rain Will Fall, now.

have all this man's albums and I am so proud to own them and all his cd's. I go and see him every time he comes to Dublin, Ireland and he tends to come here every two years or so since many years back. I have seen him maybe a dozen times or more and he just gets better and better. Love this wonderful artist...
