@ kawikahob1. Jambo sana! Nice to know that Country music is still appreciated in Kenya. It certainly was when I was there. Jim Reeves died whilst I was there and the whole country virtually went into mourning.Every other song played on Voice of Kenya radio was a Jim Reeves song for months afterwards. Unfortunately my travelling days are now over so I'll have to be content with my memories of beautiful Kenya. Kwaheri Rafiki .

@fredquimbythe23rd Interesting. You were in Kenya many many years before I was born. You are most welcome to Kenya once again, 48 years down the line. Hope you will some day..... Thanks for liking Country for that long. It is great music!

@workpics This song is on an early RCA album 'Western Jamboree' I found whilst I was in Kenya with the RAF in 1964. It is the first country music album I bought and is a greatt collection of early RCA country. It also includes, Porter Wagoner, George Hamilton IV, Bobby Bare, Hank Snow, Jim Reeves, Carl Belew and others. Later, in Hong Kong I got stacks of country LPs bought in by record shops for Yanks visiting on R&R from Vietnam. They didn't want them. I bought 100s for about 10p each!!

Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum do a classic re-make of the Louvin harmonies on this song on the album "Singin' My Troubles Away".

I don't know who recorded it first, but the Louvins recorded it August 4th, 1958.
