I knew there was a moment in the season finale when the Family Who, aboard the TARDIS, dragged Earth back into orbit. Julie had given me a heads up, so I recorded a couple of pieces I thought might work with the scene, including the Ood Song. I put Give Peace a Chance - style handclaps and drums over the top, and the Crouch End Festival Chorus sung their hearts out. A version of this song was my personal highlight at the Doctor Who Prom at the Albert Hall in July 2008. -Murray Gold

When it's 2018 and you decide to rewatch series 4 all over again before it was purely amazing!

To me, this music represents unification. The entirety of reality, every corner of creation with all it's infinite worlds & species, was unified in that one moment in victory, against one common enemy. Just like how the companions were united, flying the TARDIS. And how the people of Earth were united in their joy over the Earth's return. One of the small details I love about the scene where the Earth returns to it's place is the news report about how countries across the world are holding celebrations simultaneously. Just imagine that: for that one moment, nothing else mattered. Everyone on Earth, and across all of creation, just united together in the same victory. It's one of those things that'd only be possible in fiction, but it's such a beautiful concept that it gets me teary eyed whenever I watch that scene.

I would love for someone to take this and develop and add to it so it can be adapted into a larger orchestral movement.

If one scene could be described as the absolute pinnacle of this show, it would be this. No question.

The satisfaction of the doctors friends and companions working together in the Tardis was unreal when pulling the earth back. Such a powerful and beautiful scene.

It makes me sad that this is the last track on the album for this season and they didn't include Vale Decem when the Doctor regenerates. One of my favorites

The Eccelston/Tennant era was by far the strongest and greatest doctor who has ever been. With pretty much every single episode being amazing and a thrill. The music, the story's, the cast, the villains being amazing Williams, it was all there.
