Commenting on his reasons for joining the program, Camper said: "To give back. Letting the kids know that their dreams can -- and will -- come true. There is hope and I encourage them to go after all of the things that they believe in. I want to show them a piece of how I see things in life; how I see things musically. I want to share my musical experience with the kids as well as the program and I appreciate the invitation to do so."
Established in 2006, the ASCAP Songwriter Residency has brought more than 53 songwriters to 14 cities across the country.
