BURT composed some immortal songs before he started collaborating with HAL , i.e. MEXICAN DIVORCE and ANY DAY NOW , with the emphasis on rhythm , but it was HAL who handed him lyrics that made him tap his melodic well , and gave us DON'T MAKE ME OVER and the the hauntingly beautiful ANYONE WHO HAD A HEART, he the preceded to raise the bar with a complex composition that like many great works of art went unrecognized for years, A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME , a song that from humble beginnings has become one of the duo's most revered, from their vast catalog of revered songs .

Wow. Dionne is the ultimate with these songs. She Burt Bachrach & Hal David were a DIVINE team. I'd be willing to wager that the British singers Cilla Black and Dusty Springfield LISTENED TO 7 COPIED Dionne Warwick's style since she has such soulful phrasing and rhythm. And she's smooth. Still it was horrible how DW was treated by music industry in USA and Britain. We must always give credit where credit is due especially in music.
