Diana Ross and the Supremes but Mary's in the Middle., where she always wabted to be, said so in 2917 show...she hasnt changed. Supremes did not change or cow tow in 17 or 19 year history - refused to shill for cssh- refused diana specisl cuz needed more milliond cux shes down now to big zero. idane says shes stealing her Diana's songs. sory. Holland -Dozier -Holland wrote most. Many covers of other motwn groups plus other stuff christmas and shocking shitl. im be 60 next months. diana says her work is being stolen by Mary cuz she (dianas sang lead and her husband boss put her further and further in front which only reflected her alone- offered role of singer stalked The Bodyguard offered and accepted. Then someone said only Whitney Houston will do. I am hot now, in a year after finishing up by Whitney of world tour I might be cold product nobody backs me, But I i will wait. That was Kevin Costner. thank God.EO, NJ-1; Detroit -0.just kidding. lighten up, take a seat take yr clothes off now dont you feel more relaxed and better. You work so hard, you needed that. NOTE: I am stressing Memhis Minnie was a girl. A girl, Memphis Minnie was,, per research first person (Human -boy and girl), the FIRST PERSON HUMAN TO STAND WITH GUITAR. FEMALE DID DID IT FIRST, READ THE BOOK, I HAVE IT, REPLY I WILL TELL YOU NAME OF BOOK, girls should stick together. rare when they do. these girls stayed together, but i gotta say, flo named the group and wss serious and best singer, Mary was the happyness and soulfulness in mvt and voice, diana was definitely a 1/3 of the Supremes early on, later she left, 1969 or 1970 but " someday we'll be together" was #1 worldwide hit abnd Diana's llast song with Mary b4 left for sol success in LA. All 3 contriuted to their sound. THEIR SOUND. Berrry did pick who was to do what and when but gave free reign to hugely great talents. Diana said lookout girls cuz im gonna get HIM. Mary and Flo sure she had her eyes on Marvin Gaye. Gorgeous in everywy. no ...i got my eyes on boss and im gonna get him. she did.should have gone for Marvin, then Marvin wouldnt be dead and you would be more happpier. Believe me, a trio is a trio they should have EQUAL opportunities such as singing lead once in a while but its ok., Primettess, their former name was formed i think in 1957, a year b4 i was born. But who cares about me.? Im sharing info, peace.

The brass section is phenomenal, especially 1,20-1,50 minute.

TWTR4EVER

Berry Gordy & Diane Ross SHAKE-UP on the group, in 1966/67 that ousted Florence Ballard brought replacement Cindy Birdsong turning THE SUPREMES into the platform DRATS for Diane Ross 1969 "solo career" (Diane Ross & The Supremes)Reality check, by the time this was recorded, THE DIANE ROSS SHOW was in full force, bought and paid for by their "SEX FOR STARDOM" alliance, yes, Diane with THE BOSS, Motown CEO, Berry Gordy were moving on, everything was spendable, even Motown itself, the move from Detroit to L.A. (early 1970's) would mark the beginning of the end!

@SpazChat Read any of the books and you'll understand. It was the machine that was Motown that put the primary focus on Ross and Ross alone. It really didn't feel like a group to the others. They felt just like back-up singers.

I LOVE MOTOWN!

@SpazChat because diana knew that to make it you had to always appear that way, and was rarely ever caught off guard.

@SpazChat today's singers would just wear the dress part and not much else..flashing their girly bits like no-one else. there are more female singers now but they have put the womens movement backwards. seen only as sex objects again now.

@SpazChat I remeber these costumes; they were two years after this was released on a 45 - they did an interesting version of "Thou Swell" on the Ed Sullivan Show.
