Bad news for me... I have just found out I am missing this single from my collection, I suspect a theft has occurred, someone will pay with blood.

This was the first punk single/Didnt know it was subject to debate/FIRST band to promote the do it yourself punk ethos even if the music doesnt sound exactly like you think it should/I used to have a copy of this single

The mono sound doesn't help. most punk from them has a very monolithic sound. it's not hippie crap, but i can see why someine would think that.

I wrote into the band to get this record and I get a mention on the rear of the cover. I thought it was great at the time....but now I am nearly 50......prefer Elkie Brooks...very sad

This is a great track. Still have this single somewhere along with "The Medium Was Tedium". There was a BBC doc at the time about small labels and I remember The DB's being on. After pressing their own single they delivered them to the record shops by bike. This wasn't them living up to their name, they just delivered them by bike. I think I sent away for mine.

Wasn't this the real thing? Were you there? What I saw was a lot of posturing and the same old rock machine at work. Johhny Moped, the Saints and a very few others were the real deal as far as I was concerned, all the rest of them were bread heads just like hippies were. We shouldn't forget also that Hawkwind and the Pink Faires were doing rebellious punk ,whatever, some years before. Punk being from my perspective the non posteure non bubblegum bands put together by managers type.

@twolunches HAHAHA! More like neo-hippie rock.
