I’ve never heard the voice of god, I’ve found no trace of heaven either. Since I was spared in hell I repay the old chaplain that saved me. I love Defeater, I love the story they've created, but honestly this is starting to get boring. This song sounds like it could've been on their last album. I love this bands aggression, but 3LPs and an EP, I was really hoping for something different. I understand this is only the first single and I shouldn't judge the whole album just yet. But I have a feeling this album is going to sound just as heavy and fast as Letters Home did. Empty Days was their best album simply because it was different. The sound was a little more raw, plus the acoustic tracks to tell the story in a different way. I'm sure the album will be intense, aggressive, and raw, but I just have a feeling it isn't going to be any different than Letters Home other than lyrically. 8 years ago
